Linda Jane Sharp Neely

Funeral service for Linda Jane Sharp Neely, age 75, of Fayetteville, TN will be conducted at 1 PM on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Todd Coutta officiating. A private family burial will take place at a later date in Stewart Cemetery.

Linda was born on May 27, 1943 in Lincoln County, TN to the late Harry Eugene and Hilda Smith Sharp. Mrs. Neely retired after 30 years of Civil Service with the Department of the Army, Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL. After retirement she owned and operated Linda’s Shoes on the square of Fayetteville. Mrs. Neely passed away on November 17, 2018 at Huntsville Hospital.

Survivors include her children, Shelia M. Archer and partner Karen Trekell, Christie Archer Mays, and Richard H. Archer, Sr. all of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Brittany Taylor Sanchez, Michael J. Taylor, Richard H. Archer, Jr. and wife Allison, and Nathan H. Archer; and great-grandchildren, Joselin Sanchez, and Oscar Adan Sanchez. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband James Paul “Jimmy” Neely and a brother, Bobby Gene Dickey.

Visitation with the family will be from 5 PM until 8 PM on Monday, November 19, 2018 at Higgins Funeral Home. Higgins Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Linda Jane Sharp Neely.

I hate sweet Linda has move on to her Heaventy home I always loved talking with her she always knew how to make me smile.if any way possible she’s got Heaven focking by telling her jokes. Miss you..

Linda was a sweet and pleasant girl in high school and a FB friend for years. I will miss her posts terribly. RIP sweet lady. Prayers for your family.

My heart is so saddened by Linda Jane’s (Ma’s) passing. I loved her so much. She was funny, kind and loveable. She will truly be missed. Please know that all of you are in my thoughts and prayers at this time.

Linda was always a joy to be around and a pleasure to know. I went to church with her several years and enjoyed the time talking with her at Church. Fly High Linda!
