Funeral services for Mrs. Lila Shelton Collins, age 92, of Centerville, will be conducted at 3:30 PM Sunday at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Kirk Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Lincoln Cemetery beside her first husband Robert W. Shelton. Mrs. Collins passed away Friday, December 19, 2008, at Life Care Center in Centerville.
A daughter of the late Charlie and Pearl Shelton Tucker, she was a native of Lincoln County, retired from Serbin Fashions, and a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her son Jerry Wayne Shelton and wife Joyce of Cedartown, GA, daughter-in-law Martha Shelton, grandchildren Regina Shelton and Ritchie Shelton and wife Nena, all of Centerville, brothers L.D. and J.W. Tucker, and sister Virginia Parks, all of Fayetteville. In addition to her parents and first husband, she was preceded in death by her second husband Joe Collins, son Donnie E. Shelton, and sister Gracie Shelton.
Visitation with the family will be from 2 PM until time of service Sunday at Higgins Funeral Home.
