Funeral services for Mr. Lester Leon Self, age 77, of Fayetteville will be conducted at 10 AM Monday at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Johnson and Joe Self officiating. Burial will follow in Morgan Cemetery beside his wife Geneva Evelyn Hobbs Self. Mr. Self passed away Friday evening at Crestwood Medical Center.
A son of the late Homer Clarence and Virgie Odell Stone Self , he was a native of Lincoln County, worked at Pitts Service Station for 18 years, was a retired truck driver, and an employee of Lincoln Paving.
Survivors include his daughter Sherry Parks and husband Mike of Faytteville, grandsons Matt Parks, Nick Parks both of Fayetteville, and Daniel Self of Murfreesboro, brothers Lonnie, and wife Louise Self, Billy Self, and sister Mary Pigg all of Fayetteville. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his sons Benny Self Kim Self, and granddaughter Nicole Harlston.
Visitation with the family will be from 5-8 PM Sunday evening at Higgins Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
