Larry Wayne Watson

It is with regret we announce the passing of Mr. Larry Wayne Watson, age 63, of Fayetteville, TN. Larry was born on April 14, 1956 to the late James Miles and Ruby Lorene Scott Watson. He earned his High School Diploma from the Boonshill School and was of the Baptist Faith. Mr. Watson enjoyed working in his yard, loved people, and was always willing to lend a helping hand, doing things the “Watson Way.” Larry passed away on April 3, 2020 at Lincoln Medical Center.

Survivors include his wife, Rita Mitchell Watson; daughters, Jennifer Dunn of Kimberly, AL, Michelle Monks of Fayetteville, Amanda (Chris) Horvath of Shelbyville, and Brandi Nelson of Rainbow City, AL; step-daughter, Heather Keith of Fayetteville; sister, Linda (Jerry) Mullins of Fayetteville; sister-in-law, Ruth Watson of Steger, IL; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; three nephews; and three great-nephews. In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his brother, Cecil A. Watson.

A private family service will be held for Mr. Watson with Rev. Wayne Hollingsworth and Dr. Jon Hathcock officiating. Burial will be in the Boonshill Cemetery. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic there will be no public gathering at this time.

Higgins Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Mr. Larry Wayne Watson.
