Funeral services for Larry Joe Woods, age 66 of Kelso, will be conducted Thursday, September 12, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Miller Cemetery in Plevna, AL. Mr. Woods passed away Tuesday evening in Harton Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Woods was a native of Madison County, AL, the son of the late Clifford Woods and Wanda Jean Roberts. He was a carpenter.
Survivors include his children Kevin Woods, Natalie Duckett, Sonya Savage, Leigh Ann Norman Fowler, grandchildren Chelsea Woods, Madison Woods, Joshua Savage, Dionna Savage, Eric Neal, Kaden Fowler, great grandchildren Brooklyn Neal, Kenzie Neal, Daylin Martin and sister Aneva Eakes.
Visitation with the family will be Thursday from 12 noon until 2 pm at Higgins Funeral Home.

We are sorry that due to Shirley’s illness we will not be able to attend Larry Joe’s Visitation or funeral. Our sympathy and prayers go out for his family and friends who we know will miss him.

Larry Joe you have been on my mind for weeks now. I sure do miss you and Kev!! I know y’all are having a big time together. The girls are all grown up. Alexis is pregnant with her third baby. She has two girls and this one is a girl also. We can’t buy a boy lol. Ainslee graduated from high school and is working. Ashton is engaged and about to graduate with her masters degree. We miss and love you. Always in our hearts.
