Funeral services for Larry Dean Mathis, age 74, of Fayetteville will be conducted Saturday at 11am at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff May officiating. Burial will follow in Higgins Cedar Hills Memorial Gardens. Mr. Mathis passed away at his son’s residence Wednesday morning.
He was a native of Giles County, TN and the son of the late Thomas Dewey and Sarah Marrie Caskey Mathis. Mr. Mathis was a retired quality control technician with Amana Refrigeration and a member of the South Fayetteville Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife Christine Endsley Mathis of Fayetteville, two sons Terry Dean Mathis and wife Theresa of Fredericksburg, VA and Jeff Alan Mathis and wife Leah of Fayetteville, one daughter Julie Marie Schwarz of Fayetteville, nine grandchildren and two nephews Richard Mathis of Soddy Daisy, TN and Keith Mathis of Reisterstown, MD. Mr. Mathis was preceded in death by a grandchild Christopher Mathis, sister Hellon Marie Couselman and a brother William B. Mathis.
Visitation with the family will be Friday evening 5-8PM at Higgins Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Lincoln County Home Health and Hospice.
