Justin Alexander Taylor

Funeral service for Justin Alexander Taylor, age 13, of Kelso, TN, will be conducted at 1 PM on Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Richard Garlen and Bro. Roger Holley officiating. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery.

Justin was born on October 3, 2005 in Lincoln County, TN to Richard Lee and Megan Holley Taylor. Playing football for Flintville and Fayetteville Junior Pro was his passion. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing video games and hoped to some day be a YouTube vlogger. He was very loving, caring and always giving to others. Justin was always giving to others and in that spirit his last contribution to this world was the gift of life being a Tennessee Organ Donor. Justin passed away on April 20, 2019 at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two younger brothers, Timothy and Christopher Taylor; grandparents, Audera and Lee Hardy, Roger and Susan Holley, and Richard and Barbara Taylor; great-grandmother, Aldene Bramlett; uncles, Max, Mason and Marshall Holley and Randy Helton; aunt, Winter Schwartz; and great-uncle, Bobby Gene Taylor.

Visitation with the family will be held at 5 PM until 8 PM on Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at Higgins Funeral Home. Higgins is honored to be serving the family of Justin Taylor.

Susan, I know words do little to ease the incredible pain of the loss of your grandson. In life Justin was a giver, and in death his family gave the gift of life to others in organ donation. You can rest easy in knowing Justin is safe in the arms of Jesus. You and your entire family are in my thoughts and prayers. May God give you comfort and peace as only he can during this difficult time. God Bless You!
