Mrs. Harmening was a joy to know. Between Edna Young and Mrs. Harmening, a really young and green teacher became a bit of a professional educator! No one was ever kinder to me when I truly needed a kind voice. I loved working with her at LCHS. I am so sorry to hear of her passing.

Ms Harmening was my typing 2 class teacher when I was in high school. She was a good teacher and never forgot people. May Jesus strengthen and comforter her friends and family.

Miss June” and Fuzzy were dear friends of our family. We grew up with Dee and B’Lisa, just down the street. We loved each member of their family. May God comfort you, Dee. The Hatchers love you.

I enjoyed taking shorthand in her class years ago. I have enjoyed her coming in and talking on the phone in a professional way. She was a sweetheart and certainly a classy lady. May God comfort you at this sad time.

June was my last living school teacher from my high school days at CHS. The typing skills I learned from her made me a living a lifetime.

I have nothing but good things to say about her. Loved crossing paths with her at my voting precinct at Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Praying for God’s comfort for the loss of such a beautiful lady for her family.

Heather Dee,

Sincere sympathies to you at this very sad time in our lives.
Unfortunately I know the loss of a parent and like you Gwen knows the loss of both.
June Bug was a staplemate in my upbringing. I still carry the wrist scar from falling on a broken bottle while playing as your home was being built. I remember many conversations with both Fuzzy and June and playing with Annie. Mom’s can’t be replaced but memories will live forever. She won’t be forgotten.
She is with B’Lisa and Fuzzy now.
Thoughts and prayers to you at this difficult time.
Take care

I was a student of Mrs. Harmening. I graduated in 1979 at Central High School which was the last class out of the old school. She taught my shorthand class. I had several teachers that were very influential to me. Your Mom was at the top of my list. Praying for you and your family.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Mrs. Harmening. She was my Typing I, Typing II and Shorthand teacher at Central. Mrs. Harmening is one of the main reasons that I decided to go into the field of Business Education at MTSU. She was such a Positive influence on everyone of her students. I enjoyed running into her in town and reminiscing about old times.

Mrs. Harmening- You will be missed! You are definitely one of the top 5 teachers who had a positive influence in my life! The one thing I still talk about today more than any other is when you told me to “Quit being a simpleton” on the first or second day of class. I asked what one was to which you replied “Look it up” which pretty much set the tone for a great junior year. Thank you for all you did. Prayers to all your family!

Mrs. Harmening, you made us read a book and that book gave me a love of reading, where I once hated it.
