It is with regret we announce the death of Mrs. June Emily McWithey age 84 of Flintville formerly of Poultney, VT. Mrs. McWithey passed away Friday October 23, 2015 at Donalson Care Center. She was a native of Rutland, VT and the daughter of the late Earl and Doris Ray. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist Faith. Mrs. McWithey was an artist, a crafter who made toy animals and loved painting.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Oscar McWithey of Flintville, sons Kevin (Debbie) McWithey of Flintville, Keith (Mary Ann) McWithey of IN, daughter Diane (Bill) McCandless of Decatur, AL, brother Mac Ray of Poultney, VT, five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Lorraine Ray.
Visitation with the family will be Sunday October 25, 2015 2-4 PM at Higgins Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to the Flintville Baptist Church.
Higgins Funeral Home is assisting the family of June Emily McWithey.
Durfee Funeral Home in Fair Haven, VT will be conducting the services in VT.
