Julia Ann Quick

Funeral service for Julia Ann Quick, age 84, of Flintville, TN, will be held at 9 AM on Monday, February 21, 2022, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, with Bro. Milton Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 4 PM until 7 PM on Sunday, February 20, 2022, at Higgins Funeral Home.

Julia was born on November 12, 1937, in Lincoln County, TN to the late Allen Clyde and Mildred Irene Smith Kimbrough. She was the Postmaster for 22 years at Flintville Post Office and member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Mrs. Quick enjoyed working in her yard and tending to her rose bushes. She was a member of the Woodmen of the World. Julia passed away on February 18, 2022, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.

Survivors include her sons, Max (Sheila) Quick, and Van (Donna) Quick both of Flintville, TN; grandchildren, Ty Allen (Lisa) Quick, Vada Jo Quick, Netascha Bragg, and Brittany Bragg; brother-in-law, Jack Simms; sister-in-law, Clydia Kimbrough; and numerous nieces, and nephews. In addition to her parents, Julia was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Quick; sisters, Rachel Kimbrough, Josephine Groce, Sandra Warren, and Jane Simms; and a brother, Sonny Kimbrough.

I’m truly sorry for your loss. All these sisters were so much fun. Sad day when gone from us but, Heaven is having hugs and laughter.
I’ll never forget all members of this precious family.

Max & Van, our hearts go out to you in this sad time. We sure did enjoy Julia’s beautiful roses in the summer when we drove by. It was hard to stay on the road for looking at them.
