Graveside service for Juanita Hamlin Ables, age 92 of Fayetteville, will be conducted Wednesday at 10AM at Lebanon Cemetery with Bro. David Arrington officiating. Burial will be beside her husband Charles Ray Ables.
Mrs. Ables was a native of Lincoln County and the daughter of the late C. L. and Rilla Hall Hamlin. She was a former employee of Serbin Fashions, a homemaker, secretary for C & R Feed and a member of the Harms Methodist Church.
Survivors include her son Rick Ables and wife Brenda, granddaughter Jennifer Underwood and husband Tim of Pulaski, great-grandchildren Anna Katherine and Jack, sister Ruby Corse, special friend Peggy Lewter and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her husband she is preceded in death by two sisters Owene H. Nelson and Mildred Malone.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lebanon Cemetery or the Red Cross Tornado Relief Fund.
Higgins Funeral Home is assisting the family of Juanita Hamlin Ables.

I remember Mrs. Juanita so well from my childhood. I use to ride on the milk truck with my Grand-Dad, Carlos Bates. We always would stop by what he called “Ables”..to get some feed for the milk cows. He use to pick with Mr. Charls Ray and Mrs. Juanita a lot. She was so sweet to me. She always looked so pretty and I thought she was the nicest lady. I loved to get a Coca-Cola from the coke machine. They were .25 cents and my Grand-Dad would always make me drink it there cause he didn’t want to pay the dime on the deposit. Some of my best childhood memories were going to “Ables”……..I loved going to that place……..To the family:..I am so sorry for your loss…..God Bless……

I rode with him on his milk truck from Sun Rose Dairy…Mrs. Juanita was so sweet to me. My grandfather use to pick alot with Mr. Charls Ray and Mrs. Juanita..He really liked them alot. She was always so pretty and I thought she was the best lady…..I loved to get a Coke from their Coke machine but had to drink it there cause my grandfather didn’t want to pay the dime for the deposit. Although I didn’t know Mrs. Juanita, I feel as though I should. Ronald really thought a lot of her and so did Roberta. I’ve heard them talk of her many times. Ninety one years is a long time to live and to have your Mother. I know ya’ll will miss her. God bless you all and may your memories be many. May she rest in peace!

How blessed to have Juanita for so many years. The love and memories are many. She was beautiful as was Owene and I am sure Mrs Malone also. I was Charles Rays’ nurse at Dr Norwoods’ office. We had so many laughs and I thought the world of him! My prayers are with you all.

What a long life Juanita had. The love and memories are many. She was beautiful as was Owene and Mrs Malone I’m sure. I was Charles Rays’ nurse at Dr Norwoods’ office. I enjoyed him so much and the friendship we shared. You are all in my prayers.

I am so saddened to hear of Ms.Ables passing. As one of her nurses at Donalson, I learned that she was my second cousin and she told me a lot about my Dad’s side of the family (Hall) that I otherwise wouldn’t have known. She was a dear sweet lady. I am so sorry for your loss!! My prayers are with you all.

I am so sorry to hear about Juanita! The last time I saw her when I went with Jed near her farm when we had tobacco in a barn near there. She was so nice and she still remembered me! I am sorry for your loss and our prayer are with you and your family at this time.
