Joyce Powers Daly

Funeral service for Joyce Powers Daly, age 91, of Fayetteville, TN, will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at Prospect Baptist Church, with Dr. Ronnie Gay and Bro. Milton Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 5 PM until 8 PM on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at Higgins Funeral Home and from 12 PM until 2 PM on Thursday at the church.

Joyce was born on November 20, 1933, in Limestone County, AL to the late Kelly Powers and Leona E. Martin Powers. She worked for Serbin, Sirs Fabric Store and Skills Development Services. Ms. Daly enjoyed sewing, quilting, tending to her flower beds, and reading. She was a member of the Prospect Baptist Church. Joyce passed away on May 4, 2025, at her residence.

Survivors include her children, Gayle Daly (the late David) Pridmore of Fayetteville, Randy Keith (Karen) Daly of Nashville, TN, and Tammy Daly (Greg) Mitchell of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Jason (Angela) Pridmore, Heather (Keith) Bradley, Jessica (Joe) Kirkland, Joe (Stacey) Reeser, Lauren Reeser, Jake (Breana) Mitchell, Reagan Mitchell, and Amy Mitchell; seventeen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; a brother, Harold Powers of Ardmore; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and son-in-law, Joyce was preceded in death by her grandson, Jeremy Joshua Pridmore; and siblings, Mahlon Powers, Alvin Powers, Calvin Powers, and Rachel Appleton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Prospect Baptist Church, 32 East Prospect Road, Fayetteville, TN 37334.

We sure hate to hear this Joyce was a sweetheart and a Christian lady she will be missed buts she’s on the street of gold now by our savior we loved her we are sending our prayers to her family

Gayle i didn’t know we had the same Bday. I loved your Mom. I’m glad I got to see her have the best day at my place. I met yall in the 80s and always had the upmost respect for the family

Mrs. Joyce was a gem! She was such a blessing and true friend to my Grandmother. Nanny Granny thought the world of her. My thoughts, prayers and love for the family and friends of Mrs. Joyce. She will be forever remembered.
