Funeral service for Joseph Patrick McNeal “Joey”, age 55, of Flintville, TN, will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Derrick Moose officiating. Burial will follow at Higgins Cedar Hills Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be from 4 PM until 8 PM on Tuesday at Higgins Funeral Home.
Joey was born on July 4, 1968, in Fayetteville, TN to Joe Earl McNeal and Barbara Ann Holt McNeal. He was a 1986 graduate of Lincoln County High School and was of the Baptist Faith. Joey and Sharon established 431 Nutrition in September of 2020. He also worked for Nissan in Decherd. Joey was an avid antiques collector and a skilled tradesman. Joey always had projects from woodworking to remodeling the family home. He loved spending time with his family bow hunting and fishing. Joey passed away on February 16, 2024, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.
In addition to his parents, survivors include his wife, Sharon Burton McNeal; children, Hanna McNeal, Houston McNeal, Jake Pendergrass, and Jayden McNeal; grandson, Elijah Blake McNeal; sister, Gina (Darryl) Osborn; sister-in-law, Juanita (Joe) Taylor; brother-in-law, Derrick (Carla) Burton; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

I loved this man like a brother! He was my boss at Nissan for 4 years before all this happened and in that short time I grew very close to him! I’m sure everyone who had the opportunity to get to know Jo Jo as I called him feels the same way! I can’t begin to describe how deeply sorry I am for y’all’s loss! You will definitely be missed Jo Jo! See you on the other side brother!!
