Johnny Dwight Church

Funeral services for Mr. Johnny Dwight Church, age 65 of Flintville who passed away Saturday, January 14, will be conducted Tuesday at 1 PM in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Kenneth Basham officiating. Music service will be provided by a lifelong friend Linda Shockley. Burial will follow in Flintville Cemetery.

Mr. Church was a native of Lincoln County, TN, the son of the late Roy Chester and Estelle Heath Church. He was a member of Flintville Baptist Church and a graduate of Flintville High School. He served in the United States Army during the Viet Nam Conflict. After serving in the military he worked in the lending industry and in later years was the owner/sales representative of automobile, building and playground sales.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Vann Church of Flintville, TN, daughter Tracy Church of Nashville, TN, son Dwight Church of Flintville, TN, sisters Mary Moore of Lynchburg, Linda Arnold of Manchester, TN, brother Roy Church of Estill Springs, and father and mother-in-law Joe and Doris Vann and several nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by sisters Freda Johnson and Jean Humphries.

Visitation with the family will be Monday evening from 5-8 PM at Higgins Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Flintville First Baptist Church Building Fund.

My prayers go out to Barbara, Tracy,Dwight & the rest of the family. Johnny was a great man. I know its hard to lose your father, so unexpectedly, as i did mine. Look for comfort in the Lord, for he is always the one to turn to in this difficult time.
