John Milroy Theiss, 79, resident of Kingston, Tennessee, and former resident of Fayetteville and Tullahoma, TN, died Monday, January 21, 2008. Mr. Theiss was a member of the Kingston Church of Christ and a former member of the Stateline Church of Christ in Fayetteville. He was a veteran of the United States Army who fought in the Korean conflict and a retiree from NASA with over forty years of service. He grew beautiful roses that he enjoyed sharing with others. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 22, 2008 from 5-8 pm CST at Higgins Funeral Home, Fayetteville, TN. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at 10 am CST at the funeral home with Bro. John Payne officiating. Burial will follow in the Cedar Hills Memorial Gardens. A memorial service will be held in Kingston on Thursday, January 24 from 6-7:30 pm EST at the Kingston Church of Christ.
Mr. Theiss was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Earl Bobo Theiss, on July 6, 1996.
Mr. Theiss is survived by his son, Timothy John (Benét) Theiss of Kingston, TN, and his daughter, Tina Jan Theiss of Madison, AL. Three grandchildren, Corey Stewart Theiss, Elizabeth Lacey Theiss, and John Cothron Theiss, all of Kingston, survive him. A brother, Roy Stoddard Theiss of Mobile, AL, and a sister-in-law, Carolyn Bobo of Tullahoma, also survive him.

Visitation with the family will be Tuesday evening 5-8PM at Higgins Funeral Home.
