Funeral services for Mrs. John Anne Smith of Moncks Corner, South Carolina, formerly of Fayetteville, will be Friday at 11AM at Higgins Funeral Home with Michael McFarlen officiating. Burial will follow in Macedonia Cemetery beside her husband Lindsey Blake Smith. Mrs. Smith passed away Saturday at her residence in Moncks Corner, SC.
Mrs. Smith was born in Nashville but was a long time resident of Fayetteville and was the daughter of the late John Monroe and Maggie Jane Humphrey Goodson. She was a retired nurse and a member of the Park City Church of Christ.
Survivors include a daughter-in-law Betty Smith of Moncks Corner, SC, three grandchildren Genolyne “Lyne” Matthews and husband Thomas, Mari Schrimshaw and husband Chris both of Knoxville, and John Adam Smith and wife Michelle of Melbourne, FL, and eleven great-grandchildren Genolyne Matthews, Nash Matthews, Coleman Matthews, Christopher Matthews, Jennifer Schrimshaw Grile, Kimberly Schrimshaw, Rachael Gene Schrimshaw, Benjamin Schrimshaw, Adryanna Lindsey Smith, Colton Blake Smith and Kyleigh Smith and four great-great grandchildren Eva, Torin, Kyra and Raiden. She was preceded in death by her son John Lindsay Smith who passed away in July of 2011. Visitation with the family will be Friday morning from 10AM-11AM at Higgins Funeral Home.
