Memorial services for Mr. Joe M. Smith, age 69, of Fayetteville will be conducted at 6PM Friday evening at Higgins Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be from 4-6PM at Higgins Funeral Home. Mr. Smith died Wednesday evening in Harton Regional Hospital.
He was a native of Lincoln County and the son of the late Gordon Joe Smith and Hilda Honey Young . He was plant supervisor at Amana Refrigeration for 27 years, veteran of U.S. Army and a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include one daughter Amanda Cunningham of Fayetteville, two sons Anthony Smith of Fayetteville and Mike Smith of Flintville, sister Gerry Waggoner of Highland, IN, six grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and many special friends. He was preceded in death by a sister June Connelly.
