Joe Lee Parks

Funeral service for Mr. Joe Lee Parks age 83, of Fayetteville, will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 am at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Richard Waggoner officiating. Burial will follow in Lynchburg Cemetery. Mr. Parks passed away Wednesday afternoon in Lincoln Medical Center.

A native of Lincoln County, he was the son of the late Gilford Roland and Siddie Catherine Smith Parks, owner of Parks Jewelers for many years, and was a member of the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church, a member of the Fayetteville Kiwanis Club, Elk Valley Fun Runnners Car Club, Fayetteville Lincoln County, Chamber of Commerce, and was a member of the National Federation of Independent Business owners, Joe loved his antique cars.

Survivors include his wife Alice Parks of Fayetteville, sons Steve Parks and wife Lydia of Petersburg, Mike Parks and wife Sherry of Fayetteville, grandchildren Lee Parks and wife Jessica, Jonathan Parks both of Fayetteville, Ashley Williams and husband Casey, Carey Truesdale of Murfreesboro, Kimberly Porter and husband Nathan of Clarksville, Crystal Casey and husband Whit of Murfreesboro, Sarah Kimbrough and husband Brenton, Matthew Parks and Nicholas Parks both of Murfreesboro, great grandchildren Trenedy and Cora Parks, Colton Grebner, Audry and Marshall Downing, Barrett Porter, Jaelynn and Alanna Williams, Chason and Kaden Kimbrough. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother James Parks.

Visitation with the family will be Saturday from 10 until 11 am at Higgins Funeral Home.
