Funeral service for Mrs. JoAnn Roland Mewbourn, age 78, of Fayetteville, TN, will be conducted at 2 PM on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Higgins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Prospect Cemetery.
JoAnn was born on September 21, 1939 in Lincoln County, Tennessee to the late Russell and Elvator Swinford Roland. She worked as a seamstress for Serbin for many years. Mrs. Mewbourn passed away on March 16, 2018.
Survivors include her husband, Larry Mewbourn; sons, Larry Joe (Melissa) Kelley of Lewisburg, and Michael Lee (Danette) Kelley of Murfreesboro; daughter Sandy (Carrie) Kelley of Murfreesboro; nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; sisters, Irene Hunter, Mary Jane Roland, and Marie Reese; brothers, Ray Roland, Roy Roland, and Billy Roland; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mewbourn was preceded in death by her brothers, William Lee and John Roland.
Visitation with the family will be from 5 PM until 8 PM on Monday, March 19, 2018 at Higgins Funeral Home. Higgins Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Mrs. JoAnn Roland Mewbourn.

I’m so sorry for your sadness and time of grief. I loved your mom and always enjoyed time spent with this strong loving lady. Sorry we won’t get to be with y’all today because Robert has medical appointments but you are in our hearts and prayers.
