Funeral services for Mr. Jimmy Posey, age 73, of Fayetteville will be conducted at 10 AM Monday at Higgins Funeral Home. Mr. Posey passed away Thursday evening at Huntsville Hospital.
A son of the late James Emry and Betty Ann Ashby Posey, he was a native of Lincoln County, grew up in Kelso, owned Uncle Bill’s TV Sales and Service in Sacramento, CA was a bass player and lead singer of a popular band that traveled the West Coast, and was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Rio Linda, CA.
Survivors include his wife Geneva Marie Posey, children Bob Posey and wife Francie of Elverta, CA, Brenda Stats of Stephenville,TX, James Broadley of Rochester, IN, Rebecca Kay Posey Arias and husband David of Azusa, CA, Anthony Ray Posey of Fayetteville, TN David Branscome and wife April of Niceville, FL, and Vonna Ann Hart of Pauline, SC, 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, sisters AllaMae Smith of Tullahoma, TN and Bessie Humphrey of Fayetteville, TN and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother and 2 sisters.
Visitation with the family will be from 5-8 PM Sunday evening at Higgins Funeral Home.
