Jimmy Gill

Funeral service for Mr. Jimmy Gill, age 71, of Fayetteville, TN, will be conducted at 11 AM on Friday, July 6, 2018, at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Tommy Graham officiating. Burial will follow in Higgins Cedar Hills Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Gill was born on September 10, 1946 in Lincoln County, TN to the late James Winston and Edna Mills Gill. Jimmy graduated from Fayetteville Central High School in 1964. He worked for AT&T (formerly BellSouth) for 37 years before retiring in 2004. He enjoyed farming and gardening and sharing with friends and family. Mr. Gill passed away on July 3, 2018 at Lincoln Medical Center.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Evelyn Marie Sanders Gill; son, Tim Gill and wife Donna of Fayetteville, TN; daughter, Sandy Gill Cunningham and husband Doug of Fayetteville, TN; grandchildren, Carrie Bradford and husband Patrick, Clint Gill and wife Nici, Maggie Cunningham, and Mollie Cunningham; great-grandchildren, Beau and Riley Jo Bradford and Callie and Kelsie Gill; and sisters, Katie Watkins and husband Gene and Ginny Lamb.

Visitation with the family will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2018, at 5 PM until 8 PM at Higgins Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society at Cary B Sullivan, Lincoln County Tribute Chair, American Cancer Society, PO Box 470, Fayetteville, TN 37334.

Dear Family,

Jimmy was a wonderful, kind and giving man. I have so many fond memories of him when we all worked at the telephone company. I never asked him for anything that he did not willingly offer to do. He was a great friend to my father also. You are all in our prayers and thoughts.
