Jerry Wayne Eubanks

Jerry Wayne Eubanks, age 82, of Fayetteville, TN, passed away on September 3, 2026. He was born on June 27, 1944, to the late Marshall A.D. Eubanks and Dessie Ree Hodum Eubanks.

A proud veteran of the United States Navy, Jerry returned home after his military service to join the Milan Police Department, beginning a lifelong career dedicated to law enforcement. He served as a Sergeant with the Tennessee Highway Patrol, where he was a member of the Tactical Squad and trained as a sniper. Jerry went on to serve as a Special Agent with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) until his retirement from the state in 1991. Continuing his passion for public service, he joined the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department as an investigator and later served as Chief Deputy. Following his retirement from law enforcement, Jerry founded Eubanks Transport and enjoyed driving a truck for several years.

Jerry was married to the love of his life, Sharon, for almost 52 years. He dearly loved his friends and was deeply involved in fraternal and veteran organizations. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge, a Shriner with the Al Menah Temple, and a lifetime member of the VFW.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Sharon Eubanks; his sons, Adam (Christy) Eubanks and Marshall Eubanks; his grandchildren, Jonathan Crowe, Jennifer Crowe, and Jordan Crowe; several great-grandchildren; his sisters, Donna “Diane” (Roger) Kempfer, Debbie Powers; and his brothers-in-law, John (Leisa) Woodward and George Woodward, Jr.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his daughter, Lorie Ann Eubanks Crowe; sister, Judy Barlowe; his parents-in-law, George Woodward, Sr. and Violet Woodward; his brothers-in-law, Kenneth Barlowe and Charles Woodward; and his sister-in-law, Gayle Elizabeth Woodward Flettrich.

Graveside services will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at Higgins Cedar Hills Memorial Gardens. There will be no visitation with the family prior to the service.
