Jerry Lane Mitchell

Funeral services for Jerry Lane Mitchell, age 72 of Fayetteville, will be conducted Saturday December 12, 2015 at 1 PM at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Wayne Hollingsworth officiating. Burial will follow in Wrights Cemetery. Mr. Mitchell passed away Wednesday December 9, 2015 at his residence.
He was a native of Giles County, TN and the son of the late Easker Leamon and Ada Lucy Freeman Mitchell. Mr. Mitchell was a veteran of the U. S. Army, former employee of the Lincoln County Highway Dept, Wilson’s Gas Station and as a heavy equipment operator for Gary Horton. He was a brother in Christ and of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include his wife Ollivene Endsley Mitchell of Fayetteville, daughters Lanette (Darrell) Kight of Lynchburg, TN, Lana (David) Dempsey of Vanntown, TN, grandchildren Cassie Kight (Douglas) McGary, Trey and Faith Dempsey, brothers David (Teri) Mitchell of Fayetteville, Paul (Barbara) Mitchell of Pulaski, TN, Michael (Annette) Mitchell of Dellrose, TN, sisters Sandra (Jackie) Bledsoe of Pulaski, TN, Brenda (Gary) Davis of Petersburg, TN, sister-in-law Ruth Mitchell, aunts, uncles, several nieces, nephews and cousins and adolescent caregivers the late Travis and Emma Bell and their daughter Daphne Bell who survives.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sister Mary Elizabeth Mitchell and brother L.C. Mitchell.
Visitation with the family will be Friday 5-8 PM at Higgins Funeral Home.
