Jeremy Lee Hatley

Funeral service for Jeremy Lee Hatley, age 37, of Kelso, TN, will be conducted at 2 PM on Tuesday, November 12, 2019, at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Winfred Stayton and Bro. Billy Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Stewart Cemetery.

Jeremy was born on January 14, 1982 in Huntsville, AL to Patrick Lee and Sherri Renee Pettie Hatley. He was a man with a heart of gold. Mr. Hatley loved the river and was a truck driver for 20 years. He was able to see almost all of the United States during his trucking career. He loved being home with his family and will be dearly missed. Mr. Hatley passed away on November 2, 2019 in Chicago, IL.

In addition to his parents, survivors include his wife, Lauren Schallmo Hatley; daughter, Izabelle Hatley; son, Elijah Malone; grandparents, Dorothy Nell Henderson Pettie and Luther Pat Hatley; and siblings, Patrick Luther Hatley, Chasity Lee Ann Hatley, and Zachery Levi Hatley. Jeremy was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James Austin Pettie; paternal grandmother, Mary Lou Hatley; aunt, Annelle Perry Pettie; uncles, Donald Gene Pettie and Ricky Lynn Hatley; and a cousin, Joshua Austin Pettie.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Jeremy Hatley Memorial Fund at the Bank of Lincoln County. Higgins Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Jeremy Lee Hatley.

Kelly told me of Jeremy’s death last week when she cut my hair. I love Kelly & am so sorry for his passing at such a young age. May he rest in peace.
