Funeral services for Mrs. Jean Phillips Koonce, age 65, of Tullahoma will be conducted at 2 PM Sunday at Higgins Funeral Home with Pastor Mary Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in Lincoln Cemetery beside her husband Robert Koonce. Mrs. Koonce passed away Thursday afternoon at her residence.
She was a native of Evarts, KY and was the daughter of the late Ova and Mae Sheppard Phillips. Mrs. Koonce was a nurse and was a member of the Pelham Valley Church of God.
Survivors include her daughter Jamie Lynn Sunderland and husband Daniel of Tullahoma, grandchild Lucy Pearl Sunderland of Tullahoma, sister LouAnna Turner of Abingdon, VA, three brothers Estle Phillips and wife Mary of Evarts, KY, Dennis Phillips and wife Bobby of Harlan, KY, Cam Phillips and wife Linda of Abingdon, VA and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister Bette Moore and brothers Matt and Hubert Phillips. Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers.
Visitation with the family will be Saturday evening 5-8PM at Higgins
Funeral Home.
