Jane Buchanan Jennings Vance

Funeral service for Mrs. Jane Buchanan Jennings Vance age 70 of Fayetteville, will be conducted Tuesday at 12 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home, with Bro. Cedreck Davis and Bro. Arthur Hullett officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery. Mrs. Vance passed away Friday afternoon in St Thomas of Rutherford County.

A native of Moore County, she was the daughter of the late James and Mattie Lou Ashby Buchanan, and Ruby Lee Ford. Mrs. Vance worked as a cook at Trotters and was a wonderful cook. She was preceded in death by her husband Bennie Jennings, Sr., also preceded by husband Bobby Vance and was a member of the Mayberry Street Church of Christ.

Survivors include her sons Bennie (Shana) Jennings, Brandon Jennings, three grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Along with her devoted, faithful friend whom she looked to as a devoted sister, Bobbie Haston Roseboro.

Visitation with the family will be Tuesday from 10 am until 12 noon at Higgins Funeral Home.

Bennie and Brandon, your mother was such a sweet lady. She took such pleasure in watching folks enjoy the food that she prepared. She always had a smile and a kind word when I saw her.
I am sorry for your loss of a great Mom that loved you so much.

Bennie & Brandon, I am so sorry for your loss. It’s hard losing a momma, I know! Aunt Janie was such a character and I will never forget her voice!!!!! I’ll be at the service tomorrow.
