James Manley Eslick

It is with regret we announce the passing of Mr. James Manley Eslick, age 90, of Fayetteville, TN. A graveside service will be held at 12 pm on Friday, March 4, 2022, at Booneville Cemetery with Rev. Charlie Hammons officiating. There will be no visitation prior to the service.

Mr. Eslick was born May 27, 1931, in Lincoln County, TN to the late John Matthew and Roxie Cashion Eslick and was the youngest of six children. Known by everyone as Bud, he was a veteran of the US Marine Corps and worked as a skilled tradesman in carpentry and electricity. He attended Fayetteville Cumberland Presbyterian Church and served as an Elder and Sunday School teacher at Mt. Hebron Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Bud also farmed and strove to live the best life he could. He passed away March 2, 2022, at Lincoln Medical Center.

Bud is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Sue Goosby Eslick; his sister, Frances Brown of Lewisburg; and his beloved cats Moe and Bluey. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, John Marvin Eslick, Candace Martin, Bonnie Mae Brown, and Mildred Warren.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Fayetteville/Lincoln County Animal Shelter, 1718 Pulaski Highway, Fayetteville, TN 37334.
