James Lawrence Patrick

Graveside services for James Lawrence Patrick, age 85 of Fayetteville, will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Stewarts Cemetery with Bro. James Strope officiating. Mr. Patrick will be buried beside his wife Martha Pollock Patrick who passed away in 2011. Higgins Funeral Home will be in charge of services. Mr. Patrick passed away Tuesday at Donalson Care Center.

A native of Lincoln County, he was the son of the late Oscar Bright and Rosie Land Patrick. Mr. Patrick was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean Conflict, retired from the City of Fayetteville after 30 years of service and was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include a daughter Karen Darlene (Allen) Freeman of Fayetteville, three grandchildren Crystal (Cowboy) Brannan-Jones, Jennifer Mosquera, Angel (Adam) Eakes, and eight great-grandchildren, step-daughter Deborah (Gene) Thomas of Fayetteville and two step-grandchildren. In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by several brother and sisters Odell Patrick, Ozell Warren, Kathleen Poe, Irene Smith and Ray Patrick.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home prior to services.

Higgins Funeral Home is assisting the family of James Lawrence Patrick.

So sorry for your loss. I did not know Mr Patrick
personally, however my grandmother spok highly of him. (Exie Reavis). My parents (Iverson. & Hilda Cox).Again i am so sorry for your loss. Praying God will give you strength. and peace as you go through this difficult time.
