Memorial services for Mr. James L. McKinney, age 83, of Fayetteville will be conduced at 2 PM Saturday, December 18, 2010, at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Ann A. Hatcher officiating. Mr. McKinney passed away Saturday evening surrounded by his family at Lincoln Care Center.
A son of the late James O. and Ruth Towry McKinney, he was a native of Fayetteville, a retired airline pilot, and a veteran of the US Army.
Survivors include his wife Norma McKinney of Fayetteville, daughters Ann Marie Nobes and husband Brian of Kingston Springs, TN and Linda Archer and husband Billy of Panama City Beach, FL, grandchildren James Cole Archer and wife Mallory of Panama City, FL, Alicia Jimenez and husband Derek of Jacksonville, FL, Chris Nobes, Derek Nobes, Ethan Nobes, and Jared Nobes, all of Kingston Springs, TN, great-grandson James Avery Archer of Panama City, FL, niece Vickie Hines of Nashville, and nephew Larry Hines of Smyrna. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife Sharon Frundle and sister Juell Hines.
Visitation with the family will be from 12-2 PM Saturday, December 18, 2010, at Higgins Funeral Home.
