A memorial service for Mr. James “Jim” Edward Hudson, age 97, of Petersburg will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Monday, November 28, 2016 at Howell Church of Christ with Bro. Wayne Porter officiating. Mr. Hudson was a native of Kingston, NC and son of the late James Finnah and Beulah Seymore Hudson. Mr. Hudson was interred next to his wife, the late Christine Goolsby Hudson, at Wright’s Cemetery, on an earlier date. He was a Chief in the U.S. Navy during WWII, served in the 1942 North African Campaign, and served in the Atlantic Theature.
Survivors include his sons Don (Rosemary) Hudson and Paul Hudson; daughter Dolly (Richard) Reed; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Howell Church of Christ Food Fund 329 South Fishing Ford Road, Petersburg, TN 37144. Higgins Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Mr. James Edward Hudson.
