Graveside services for Mr. James Donald Whitaker, Sr., age 67, of Fayetteville be conducted Wednesday at 11AM at Prospect Cemetery with Bro. Wayne Hollingsworth officiating. Mr. Whitaker passed away Tuesday morning at his residence.
He was a native of Lincoln County and was the son of the late John Nelson and Willie Grayson Whitaker. Mr. Whitaker was a tree surgeon and a of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include two daughters, Willie Whitaker of Belleville and Kim Whitaker of Rogersville, TN, three sons Jody Whitaker of Fayetteville, James Whitaker of California, and Mike Whitaker of Rogersville, TN, five sisters Pearl Westbrook of Winchester, Sue Moore of Fayetteville, Mary Towry of Fayetteville, Laura Williams of Fayetteville and JoLene Caldwell of Rogersville, TN, and eight grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews and a very special friend Patricia Whitaker. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Dean Taylor and Lucille Whitaker and a brother Billy Whitaker.
There will be no visitation prior to services.
