Funeral services for Mr. James A. Swindell, age 86, of Fayetteville will be conducted Saturday at 2PM at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. David Sain and Bro. Jimmy Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens beside his wife Pauline Towry Swindell who died in October. Mr. Swindell passed away Tuesday December 2nd in Lincoln Care Center.
A long time resident of Lincoln County and a native of Doyle, TN, Mr. Swindell was the son of the late Dallas Corder and Willie Ellen Hensley Swindell. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, retired employee from Kraft Foods and a member of the Washington Street Church of Christ.
Survivors include his son Larry Swindell and wife Judy of Athens, AL, brother Bill Swindell of Murfreesboro, TN granddaughter Missy King and husband Jim of Madison, AL, grandson Vern Swindell of Mobile, AL and two great grandchildren Cason and Isabella King.
Visitation with the family will be Friday evening 5-8pm at Higgins Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the International Gospel Hour.
