Iva Dean Lanier Russell

Graveside service for Mrs. Iva Dean Lanier Russell, age 86, of Fayetteville, TN will be conducted Tuesday September 6, 2022, at 12:30 PM at Higgins Cedar Hills Memorial Gardens with Bro. Steve Jefferson officiating. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday from 11 AM until 12 PM at Higgins Funeral Home.

Dean was born June 27, 1936, in Giles County, TN to the late Claude and Lacey Evelyn Pierce Lanier.  She was a seamstress at Blue Ridge Shirt Plant and Jonathan Logan, and a member of the West Fayetteville Church of Christ. Dean loved working in her yard, garage sales, and was an enthusiastic collector. Mrs. Russell passed away September 2, 2022, at Bailey Manor surrounded by her family.

Survivors include her daughters Vickie (Randy) Porter, Kathy Saylor, and Lisa (Gerald) Todd, Jr., all of Fayetteville; and son Michael (Amy) Russell of Decherd; grandchildren Brady Porter, Brent Porter, Brian Shelton, Stephen Saylor, Bradley Saylor, Brandon Todd, Blake Todd, and Kayley Russell McKenzie; great- grandchildren, Cameron and Carolyn Porter, Ben and Owen Porter, Erin, Bailey and Lily Shelton, Russell and Angelique Saylor, Emma and Oliver Todd; brother Orville (Judy) Lanier; and beloved cat Miss Kitty Russell. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Raymond Russell; and brothers James Lanier, Ed Lanier, and William (Buddy) Lanier.

We are sorry to hear about Aunt Iva Dean. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.We are sorry that we were not able to see her when we were down earlier this year. Please take care, with all of our love.
