Irma Adele Meyer Collins

Funeral service for Mrs. Irma Adele Meyer Collins, age 97, of Flintville, TN, formerly of Las Vegas, NV and Pottsboro, TX, will be conducted at 3 PM on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at Higgins Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be from 2 PM until the time of service at 3 PM. Burial will follow in the Stewart Cemetery.

Mrs. Collins was born on February 24, 1922 in Newport, KY. to the late Richard Herman and Norma Iska Hancock Meyer. She was a Christian and loved her family. Irma passed away on February 20, 2020 in Flintville, TN.

Survivors include her brother, Al Meyer of Flintville; daughter, Constance (Donald) Presbrey of Flintville; sons, Gary (Chiao) Martin of Las Vegas, NV, and Kenneth (Wendy) Collins of Hixson, TN; grandchildren, Donald (Carrie) VerPlank of Flintville, Sandra (Todd) Williams of Allen, TX, William VerPlank of Flintville, Janelle (Shane) Fontain of Albuquerque, NM, Michael Martin of Reno, NV, Erin (Brett) Middleton of Denton, TX, Mary (Johnny) Jacobs of Dallas, TX, Kenneth Collins, III of Frisco, TX, Denise (David) Crandall of Battle Ground, WA, Dawn Vinberg of Edmonds, WA, Gene (Catherine) Jung of Nashville, TN, and Nick Jung of Hixson, TN; and great-grandchildren, Jeff (Amy) Crandall, Toddy Crandall, Brad Crandall, Nathan Crandall, Jennifer Weissonborn, Taylor VerPlank, Carter Fontain, Harlyn Jung, and August Jung; and great-great-grandchild, Riley McCullough. Irma was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth Collins; and a grandson, Travis Martin.

Mrs.Irma was such a sweet lady. I’m glad I got to know her she will always have a special place in my heart as well as her family they are all very sweet I love them all prayers for u all love always ! Anna Sumners

We only got to know each other for a very short time but instantly knew you were special. Our time knowing about each other was way too short.

Connie Your Mom was my sweet angel on earth I loved visiting with all of you and of course playing with the sweet puppies and Molly. GOD BLESS. you all and I love all of you
