It is with regret that we announce the passing of Mrs. Ida Rachel Fann, age 94, of Fayetteville, TN. Funeral service for Mrs. Fann will be conducted at 1 PM on Saturday, April 6, 2019, at Higgins Funeral Home with Dr. Ronnie Gay officiating. Burial will follow in Prospect Cemetery next to her husband, Lebran Ray Fann. Visitation with the family will be held at 11 AM until time of service at 1 PM on Saturday at Higgins Funeral Home.
Rachel was born on September 6, 1924 in Lincoln County, TN to the late Reeves Melson and Allie Henderson Steelman. She retired as a bookkeeper for Jimmy East Heating and Cooling prior to she and her husband owning Highland Rim Grocery. She was a member of Prospect Baptist Church. Mrs. Fann passed away on April 4, 2019 at Lincoln Medical Center.
Survivors include her cousins, Lloyd (Sandy) Steelman, Cloyd (June) Steelman, Jim Steelman, Mary (Billy) Mullins, and Linda (Bob) Hancock. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Prospect Baptist Church Building Fund, 32 Prospect Road, Fayetteville, TN 37334.

I am so sorry for your loss. Rachel was a very sweet lady and am glad to have known her. Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers

I am sorry also for your loss but I know that she is in a much better place now. Linda has done a wonderful thing in trying to help her survive her problems.
