Howard Haston Capshaw

Funeral services for Howard Haston Capshaw, age 83 of Fayetteville, will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Richard McWilliams officiating. Burial will follow in Johnson Cemetery in Williamson County. Mr. Capshaw passed away Wednesday night in Lincoln Medical Center.

A native of Warren County, he was the son of the late William Hobert Sr. and Lettie Louise Johnson Capshaw. He was a graduate of Williamson County High School and graduated from Vanderbilt School of X-Ray in 1954. He was employed by Dr. Sam Hay in Murfreesboro, the Veterans Administration in Knoxville and Thiokol in Huntsville, AL before coming to Patrick Clinic and working with Dr. T. A. Patrick and Dr. C. D. Toone for many years. Mr. Capshaw was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Wells Hill Church of Christ for over 54 years.

Survivors include his wife Elizabeth Ferebee Capshaw of Faytteville, two daughters Sandra Arnold and husband Bobby and Linda Sisk and husband Buck all of Fayetteville, two sons Robert Capshaw of Lake City, FL and William Capshaw and wife Amber of Petersburg, grandchildren Robert Arnold III, Melissa Maddox, Ginger Loh, Heather Stewart, Kristen Capshaw, Austin Capshaw, Summer Capshaw, Kiah Capshaw and seven great- grandchildren, two sisters Carolyn Johnson of Burwood, TN and Faye Barnhill of Columbus, OH, one brother Larry Capshaw of Morristown, TN and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be Friday evening 5-8 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wells Hill Church of Christ.

Im so sorry for ur loss he was a great man who I loved and was a pleasure to have had in my life he always had a joke or something to say to me and we laugh about it I would say MR HOWARD how are u feeling today he would say to me with my hands and smile it made me feel good we could make a bad day better love to all IN CHRISTIAN LOVE KAY HORTON
