Funeral services for Mrs. Hazel Edwards, age 82, of Flintville will be conducted at 11 AM Tuesday at Higgins Funeral Home with Pastor Tommy Bolan officiating. Burial will follow in Flintville Cemetery. Mrs. Edwards passed away Sunday December 20, 2009 at her residence.
A daughter of the late Henry and Clara Hudson Sharp, she was a native of Plevna, AL, retired from Serbin Manufacturing, and member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include sons Jimmy Edwards and wife Karen of Nashville, Rayford Edwards and wife Connie of Birchwood, and Jackie Edwards and wife Leslie of Hazel Green, daughters Betty Coats of Meridianville and Janie Bradley and husband Tommy of Elora, nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, three brothers, four sisters, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be from 5-8 PM Monday evening at Higgins Funeral Home.
Those serving as pallbearers will be grandsons and granddaughters: Wes, Brad, and Eric Edwards, Stacey Coats, and Jared Bradley. Honorary pallbearers are Amanda Nelson and Kim Deyton.
