Hazel Brown Pack

Funeral services for Hazel Brown Pack, age 96 of Guntersville, formerly of Fayetteville, will be conducted Saturday at 2 PM at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Paul Clayton officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery beside her husband Marvin Pack who passed away in 1983. Mrs. Pack passed away Wednesday in Marshall Manor in Guntersville, AL.

She was a native of Lincoln County and the daughter of the late John A. and Eula Marshall Brown. Mrs. Pack moved to Guntersville from Fayetteville in 1934 where she worked in the cotton mill until it closed. Mrs. Pack was one of the original founders of the Guntersville Garden Club. After the mill closed she moved to Pendleton, SC were she retired from J P Stephens Cotton Mill in 1978. She was a member of the Park City Church of Christ.

Survivors include her son Larry Pack and wife Linda of Guntersville, three granddaughters Kimberly Kay Nolan and husband Jim of Melbourne, FL, Kathryn Lynn Hamilton and husband Jim of Huntsville, AL, and Tracey Lee Willams and husband Gregory of Helena, AL, six great-grandchildren Daniel Paul Troy USAF in Japan, Krysta  Zurowski of Huntsville, AL, Kaitlyn McDaniel of Charleston, SC, Ashley, Alexa, Thomas Marvin Williams all of Helena, AL, and two great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by sisters Edna King and Winnie D. Brown and Odell Bowen.

Visitation with the family will be Saturday from 1-2 pm at Higgins Funeral Home.

Larry, I am sorry to learn of your mom’s passing because regardless of how long we have them with us, it is always a sad goodbye. Thinking of you and yours and including you in my prayers.
