GYSGT (Ret.) Thomas E. Harris

Graveside funeral service for GYSGT (Ret.) Thomas E. Harris, “The General”, age 77, of Fayetteville, TN will be conducted at 10 AM on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Higgins Cedar Hills Memorial Gardens: Garden of Honor.

Thomas was born on January 1, 1942 in the District of Columbia. He served in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam War. After retiring from the armed forces, he worked as a truck driver. He enjoyed harness racing and training horses. Thomas passed away on April 16, 2019 at his residence.

Survivors include his life partner, Ingrid Currin; children, Donnie (Rhonda) Currin, Ricky (Theresa) Currin, and Fred (Penney) Currin; grandchildren, Stefanie (Joey) Worden, Thomas (Hannah) Currin, Alisha (Chris) Dunnavant, Richie (Monica) Conner, Kayla Currin, Justice (McKayla) Conner, Travis Currin, and Elizabeth Currin; great-grandchildren, Lily Dunnavant, Bentley Dunnavant, Caleb Worden, Chloe Worden, Cara Worden, Kaygen Currin, Raiden Currin, Bella Conner, Olivia Conner, Dahlia Hindiyeh, and Serene Hindiyeh.

Visitation with the family will be held at 5 PM until 8 PM on Friday, April 19, 2019, at Higgins Funeral Home. Higgins is honored to be serving the family of GYSGT (Ret.) Thomas E. Harris.

So sorry for your loss, Tom was such a good hearted and kind man.. Loved sitting and talking to him, sometimes about his time in the Military and sometimes was about horses.. He will definitely be missed, Ms Ingrid, you and the family are in my Thoughts and Prayers during this difficult time.. May GOD Bless you all ..
