Glennis Pamplin Koonce

Funeral service for Mrs. Glennis Pamplin Koonce, age 83, of Fayetteville, will be conducted Tuesday November 3, 2015 at 12 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro Tim Rice officiating. Burial will follow in Stewart’s Cemetery. Mrs. Koonce passed away Saturday October 31, 2015 at Lincoln Medical Center.
She was born on July 18, 1932, in Lincoln County, the daughter of the late Ernest Desso and Velaria Estella Price Pamplin.   She worked for 25 years at NASA, retiring in 1989, and was a member of the Liberty church of Christ.
Survivors include her children, Renee (Earl) Monks, Britt Kerbo, and Ronald (Terri) Kerbo, all of Fayetteville; Kevin (Susan) Kerbo of Murfreesboro, and Kathryn (Richard) Miller of Owings, MD; one brother, Donald (Janice) Pamplin of Flintville; grandchildren, Garrett Monks, Amanda Gambill, Jessica Kerbo, Brittany Kerbo, Callie Kerbo, Emily Kerbo, and Brannen Kerbo, and five great-grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands Lawrence Kerbo and Robert Koonce.
Visitation with the family will be Monday November 2, 2015 from 5 – 8 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Fayetteville/Lincoln County Humane Society.

I worked with Miss Glennis at NASA for years, what a sweet lady. My sympathy to all her family & friends.
