George JR. Jett, III

Funeral services for George JR. Jett, III, age 63, of Fayetteville, Tennessee will be conducted Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 11 A.M. at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Ronnie Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Talley Cemetery. George was a native of Davidson County, Tennessee and retired from Network Industries, Inc.

Survivors include his wife Elaine Jett of Fayetteville, Tennessee; daughters Mary (Mike) Burton of Kelso, Tennessee, Melissa (Steven) Bevers, Crystal Jett, Maggie Jett, and Madison Jett all of Fayetteville, Tennessee; sisters Frances Doud, Mary Jane Baugher, Ella May Jordan, and Christine Sumners; brothers David, Paul, Edward, and Joe Jett; grandchildren Katyleen Burton, Steven Bevers, Kenneth Lentz, Kelsey Holder, Johnathan Bevers, Cody Burton, Caleb Burton, Ashton Murphee, Jesse Owens, Chelsea Cowan, Marvin Cowan, and Faith Mitchell; and great-granddaughter Avery Murphy. He was preceded in death by his sons George JR. Jett, IV and Jesse Jett.

Visitation with the family will be held Friday, May 5, 2017 at 5 until 8 P.M. at Higgins Funeral Home.

So sorry about the Loss of George. I only had the honor of meeting him and being around him a few times but he was very sweet man and a joy to be around.

We are so saddened to hear of George’s passing. We have very fond memories of him and will cherish those.

I am so sorry for the hurt in your heart over the loss of your George I met y’all in the hospital and had the privilege of providing care to George. He was such a sweet man . I know your heart is so broken. My prayer is that you will have comfort from God, family and friends today as I know this will be a very hard day. God bless you and give you an added measure of strength today and in the coming days.
