Funeral service for Ms. Genie Fae Wade, age 47, of Fayetteville, TN will be held on Sunday, September 5, 2021, at 2 pm at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Jon Hathcock officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Gardens.
Genie was born on February 24, 1974, in Huntsville, AL to the late Guy Forrest and Betty Halcomb Wade. She was a graduate of Lincoln County High School and a lifelong resident of Lincoln County, TN. Genie was a member of Fayetteville First Baptist Church. She passed away on September 1, 2021.
She is survived by her sisters, Vicki Wade (Greg Pamplin) and Lana (Keith) Vanhooser; nieces and nephews, Lawryn Bevels, Bethany, Will and Guy Vanhooser. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to special caregivers, Pattie Kosik, Sherry Norris, Heather Reynolds and Roni Keeton.
Visitation with the family will be held on Sunday, September 5, 2021, from 1 pm to 2 pm at Higgins Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital or Vanderbilt Stallworth Rehabilitation Hospital at Vanderbilt Gift Processing Office, PMB 407727, 2301 Vanderbilt Place, Nashville, TN 37240-7727.
