Fred Kermit Sanders

Funeral service for Mr. Fred Kermit Sanders, age 80, of Huntsville, AL, will be conducted Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Bro. Milton Martin and Bro. David Karr officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Mr. Sanders passed away Sunday, September 27, 2015 at his residence surrounded by his family.

Mr. Sanders was a native of Elora, TN, the son of the late Tom C. and Laura Farmer Sanders. He was a retired, self employed painter and of the Baptist faith. Mr. Sanders was an Alcoholics Anonymous Advocate for 40 years. He touched so many lives through his example and strong faith, taking it one day at a time.

Survivors include his wife Doris Sanders of Huntsville, AL, daughters Pamela (Jim) Monaghan of Fayetteville, Tammy (Jack) Jackson of Huntsville, AL, granddaughters Christina (Phillip) Colbert, April (Crispen) Armijo, Amber Monaghan all of Fayetteville, grandsons Kevin (Ashley) Jackson of Brownboro, AL, Chris (Stephanie) Jackson of Huntsville, AL, great grandchildren Austin Colbert, Olivia Colbert, Isabella Armijo, Madelyn Armijo, Alexandria Armijo, Gavin Jackson and Audrina Jackson, brothers Elmer (Wilma) Sanders, Mac (Barbara) Sanders, sister Glenda (Bill) Chamblee, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, September 29, 2015 from 5 until 8 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the Fred Sanders Memorial Fund at Wells Fargo. All memorials received to go to various charities.
