Funeral service for Felica Kay Bennett Spray, age 49 of Fayetteville, will be conducted at 1 PM on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Higgins Funeral Home with Pastor Eric Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow in Lincoln Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Thursday from 11 AM until 1 PM at Higgins Funeral Home.
Felica was born on August 5, 1971 in Fayetteville, TN to the late Billy Hugh and Dorothy Bates Bennett. She married the love of her life, Derrick Keith Spray in 1989 and they shared a wonderful thirty one years of marriage. Felica was known for her infectious smile that brightened any room that she walked in, she loved to make people smile, and always put others needs above her own. She loved camping, especially the Fourth of July golf cart parades, decorating for every holiday, and collecting smiley faces. Felica was a member of the South Fayetteville Church of Christ. She passed away on January 15, 2021 at Huntsville Hospital.
In addition to her husband, Felica leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved son, Dustin Spray of Fayetteville; sister, Teresa (Joel) Massey of Taft; brother, Kevin Bennett of Nashville; nieces and nephews, Brian Massey, Nathan (Amber) Massey, Nathan Spray, Maddie Spray, and Avery Spray; great-niece, Libby Massey; and her cherished dog, Maggie.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Attn.: Cary Sullivan, P.O. Box 470, Fayetteville, TN 37334 or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, LLS-Tennessee, P.O. Box 772357, Detroit, MI 48277-2357.

This young lady had an awesome smile AND a strong work ethic when working both as a library assistant at LCHS as well as on the 1989 yearbook staff. It is heartbreaking to learn that she is gone. ‘My prayers for her friends and family.
