Funeral Services for Faye Newgent, age 74, of Fayetteville, will be conducted 10 a.m Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Sonny Moore officating. Burial will follow in Moore Cemetery. Mrs. Newgent passed away Saturday, June 11, 2016 at the Donalson Care Center.
Mrs. Newgent was a native of Lincoln County and daughter of the late Oliver Gordon and Martha Kathleen Gulley Pitts. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband of 28 years Granvil Newgent; daugther Kathey (Hugh) Baldwin Herrington; son Johnny Jay Baldwin; step-sons Robert Newgent and Tommy Newgent; step-daughter Brenda Newgent Turner; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and brothers Phillip (Mary Lee) Pitts and Ray (Debbie) Pitts. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Steve Baldwin.
Visitation with the family will be 5 – 8 p.m. Monday, June 13, 2016 at Higgins Funeral Home.
