A memorial service celebrating the life of Ethel Mae Shelton Hindman, age 85, of Fayetteville, TN, will be held at 3 PM on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. David England officiating. Visitation with the family will be 1 hour prior to the service on Sunday at Higgins Funeral Home. Private interment will take place at Riverview Memorial Gardens.
Ethel Shelton Hindman was born April 30, 1941, in Lincoln County, Tennessee, to Roy and Irene Shelton. She worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Miller and previously attended Washington Street Church of Christ before becoming a member of Taft Community Church. She passed away on September 7, 2026, at Donalson Care Center.
Survivors include her son, Kenneth Michael Hindman, granddaughter, Amy Lee (Davin) Litaker; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Ethel was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert Lewis Shelton, and Bennie Dean Shelton; and a sister, Connie S. Higgins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Taft Community Church at 1377 Ardmore Hwy., Taft, TN 38488, or a charity of your choice.

Gonna miss you, Ethel. Thanks to all the staff at Donalson Care Center for the wonderful and compassionate care you provided for my sweet Aunt. Thanks to Lisa for your care while she was at home.
