Funeral services for Ethel Irene Shelton, age 92 of Fayetteville, will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. David England officiating. Burial will be follow in Lebanon Cemetery beside her husband Roy Leonard Shelton who passed away in 1999. Mrs. Shelton passed away Sunday February 3, 2013 in Lincoln Care Center.
A native of Davidson County, she was the daughter of the late Tully Martin and Lela Mae Arney Reed. She was retired from Serbin Fashions and a member of the Molino Baptist Church.
Survivors include her children Robert Louis Shelton and wife Pat of Fayetteville, Ethel Mae Hindman of Fayetteville and Connie Martin Higgins and husband Bobby Joe of Fayetteville, daughter-in-law Yvonne Shelton of Douglasville, GA, six grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Roy Leonard Shelton, parents Tully Martn and Lela Mae Reed, son Bennie Dean Shelton, son-in-law Kenneth Hindman, brothers Gene Reed, James Reed and Charles Reed.
Visitation with the family will be Wednesday from 1 p.m. until time of services at 2 p. m. at
Higgins Funeral Home.
