Funeral service for Ms. Erin Michelle Petty, age 31, of Kelso, TN, will be conducted at 11 AM on Friday, February 15, 2019, at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Chester Slayton officiating. Burial will follow in Campbell Cemetery.
Ms. Petty was born on January 29, 1988 in Huntsville, AL to Jerry Eugene Petty and Mona Gayle Light Petty. She was a 2006 graduate of Lincoln County High School and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Ms. Petty passed away on February 9, 2019.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sister, Heather Petty of Kelso, TN; special nieces, Kiana and Alyssa Petty; maternal grandparents, Delano and Betty Light of Kelso, TN; aunts and uncles, Thomas (Carolyn) Petty of Scottsboro, AL, Lawrence Petty of Gurley, AL, Steve (Gina) Petty of Hazel Green, AL, Elaine Cash of Hazel Green, AL, Renee (Rickey) Price of Kelso, TN, and Becky (Keith) Christa of Kelso, TN; special great-aunt, Marie Towery of Huntsville, AL; and numerous loving cousins. Honorary pallbearers will be Keith, Caleb, Joshua, and Ryan Christa. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Thomas and Mattie Petty; aunts, Jean Elmore and Lynn Wright; and uncle, William “Sonny” Allen Petty.
Visitation with the family will be held at 5 PM until 8 PM on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Higgins Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Fayetteville Animal Shelter, 1718 Pulaski Hwy, Fayetteville, TN 37334. Higgins Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Ms. Erin Michelle Petty.

My heart is broken in a million pieces. There are no words to express my sorrow. I will always treasure the time I spent with Erin and my life was blessed having her as a friend. Erin was a very special person so full of love and laughter. Heaven has gained an angel and her smile is lighting it up. As we hold you in our thoughts and prayers, God hold you in His arms.
