Mrs. Walker was one of the sweetest, most caring ladies I have ever been blessed to know. She was my 8th grade teacher many, many years ago at Flintville.
May you be comforted by knowing the vast numbers of lives she touched in her career as a teacher.

“Ms . Elwyn” was a sweet, sweet, lady. She was my 1st-2nd grade teacher at Kelso and Sunday school teacher at various levels. She taught and lived Christian values and I appreciated her so very much.

The family of Dr. Nat Walker has my deepest sympathy in the loss of your mother. As a first grader when I started to school at Shady Grove, we lived on a road where the school bus went in all opposite direction. My dad talked to Mrs. Elwyn (at that time she was Miss Jennings) and she let me ride with her. She was a wonderful 1st grade teacher, and from then on one of my favorite people. She later taught my children. I know there is another angle in Heaven. GOD BLESSED ALL OF YOU!

To a wonderful Christian lady who taught Sunday School even a couple of times this last summer. thankful for her teaching ability and faithful walk-loved how she had my husband’s number (she taught him in grade school) and they would joke back and forth. absent from the body -present with the Lord. She will be missed greatly. Praying for you Nat and your family during this time.

My late husband, B.L. Jennings, & Elwyn were born a week apart & were the two oldest grandchildren of the Jennings family. B & I always wanted Elwyn to come to Texas to visit us. I thought she was the loveliest lady I knew and named my youngest daughter after her. We have lost a truly wonderful member of this big family and one I have always admired & loved. Her warmth, wit, & sincerity never failed. My heartfelt sympathy to Nat & family. Gracie Jennings
