Eloise L. Crafton

Graveside service for Eloise L. Crafton, age 97 of Paducah, KY, will be conducted Sunday at 1 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, 6965 Old US Hwy 45, Paducah, KY beside her husband Elvis Crafton. Memorial services will follow at 2 P.M. at the 1st Presbyterian Church 200 North 7th Street Paducah, KY with Rev. Lynn Shirley officiating. Mrs. Crafton passed away Wednesday morning December 31, 2014 at Lincoln Care Center.
She was a native of Paducah, KY, and the daughter of the late Herbert G. and Hattie Ferguson Lyles. She was a graduate of Augusta Tilghman High School in Paducah, KY, Louisville General Hospital School of Nursing in Louisville, KY and the John Hopkins University School of Nursing in Baltimore, MD. Mrs. Crafton worked at the Illinois Central Hospital, West Baptist Hospital and was the plant nurse for Penn Walt Chemical Corporation in Calvert City, KY for 23 years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Paducah, KY. In addition to her husband and her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter Nancy Crafton Stone.
Survivors include son Aaron (Connie) Crafton of Shelbyville, daughter Cyndi (David) Bagley of Fayetteville, grandson Stephen Stone of Gilbertsville, KY, grandson Britton (Julie) Crafton of Germantown, TN, granddaughter Kristi (Matt) Crass of Murfreesboro, TN, grandson Owen (Jill) Bagley of Fayetteville, grandson Adam Bagley of Fayetteville and seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to the First Presbyterian Church in Paducah, KY, the First Presbyterian Church in Fayetteville, TN, the First Presbyterian Church in Shelbyville, TN, Or the St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
Higgins Funeral Home is assisting the family of Eloise L. Crafton.
